Dolls and Drinks premieres at Bergen International Film Festival (BIFF)

Oppdatert: 18. sep.

We are excited to announce that the short film Dolls and Drinks has been selected for the prestigious Bergen International Film Festival (BIFF) and will have its world premiere during the festival. This thrilling and surreal tale, directed by Benedicte Kolberg and produced by Fjord Productions in co-production with Kakofoni, promises to captivate audiences with its unique blend of suspense, art, and dark humor.

The film is produced with the support of Vestnorsk Filmsenter (Western Norway Film Fund)

Plot Summary

Set against the backdrop of an art gallery opening, Dolls and Drinks follows a young hustler named Ine, played by Katrine Lovise Øpstad Fredriksen, who attempts to steal a bottle of sparkling wine. However, her simple plan takes an unexpected turn when she encounters Dan, an eccentric and experimental doll maker portrayed by Halfdan Hallseth. Dan is determined to push Ine beyond her limits in the name of art, leading to an intense and boundary-pushing showdown. The film explores themes of power, manipulation, and the fine line between art and exploitation.
